Can I connect a Roland 2480 directly to my Mac computer?

by David Off
(Madison WI)

Is there a way to connect my Roland VS 2480 to my Power Mac 8600 to allow direct "download" or transfer of stereo music (WAV) files?

Currently I have to make a CD containing the mastered stereo files from the Roland and rip the files from the CD into the computer. It would save time and CDs if the files could be sent directly from one device to another. The computer saves using Roland memory to produce playlists for CD burning.

Additionally, what is a good CD burning program (or alternate) that accomplishes creating the same volume level on all the songs of a playlist to be burned to CD?
